This Lot is seeking the provision of a suitably permitted or licensed waste facility to received RDF. This waste stream is the sole output of the MBT plant. RDF is residual waste that has been through an initial MBT shredder, which is effectively a ‘de-bagging’ operation and then the MBT drying process.
Upon receipt of the waste the Service Provider must manage this waste stream in full compliance with the waste hierarchy, the waste duty of care, and all applicable legislation and official guidance. This includes, but is not limited to, the forthcoming ban on landfilling biodegradable municipal waste (BMW) in Scotland and the restriction on incinerating residual waste without pre-treatment. two.2.5) Award criteria
