The Highways and Transport service is responsible for delivering the majority of the Council's highway Council functions for nearly the entire 4041km road network within the Area Network. It also develops transport policies and implements a range of maintenance and improvement schemes aimed at assisting movement and improving road safety, while minimising the impact of operations on the environment.
The Council is seeking a number of Contractors to provide Highways Services across the county of West Sussex. The Services comprise six lots, incorporating Core Services, Drainage Cleansing, Hedge Maintenance and Grass Cutting, Carriageway and Footway Resurfacing, Carriageway Surface Dressing and Carriageway & Footway Treatments and Infrastructure Improvement Planned Works.
